Nalika Padmasena OAM – Board Chair

Nalika Padmasena OAM is a Solicitor, Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP), NMAS‑Accredited Mediator, and respected community leader with a long record of service to multicultural communities in New South Wales.

A recipient of the 2015 Premier’s Multicultural Award, Nalika has held several prominent leadership roles, including President of the Sri Lanka Association of NSW Inc. (2019–2021) and President of the Sri Lankan‑Australian Women’s Network (SLAWN). Her work spans legal advocacy, community empowerment, and mentoring emerging leaders.

As Board Chair of Pearl Life Care Incorporated, Nalika brings strong governance experience and a deep commitment to culturally inclusive elder care. She plays a key role in guiding the organisation’s mission to establish Australia’s first Sri Lankan‑focused retirement village — a place where seniors can age with dignity, belonging, and cultural connection.

Don Ravi Iddamalgoda – Board Secretary

Don Ravi Iddamalgoda is an experienced business leader and community
representative with more than 30 years of commercial, operational, and governance experience across Australia and overseas. He serves on the Board of Directors of Pearl Life Care Inc., contributing strategic insight and community engagement to the organisation’s mission.

Don is a leading international agribusiness operations across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the UK. His expertise spans corporate strategy, P&L oversight, export compliance, Letters of Credit, logistics governance, and global stakeholder management.

In the community sector, Don represents CDF Charity in NSW and serves on its Advisory Board, supporting cancer patient transport services across Sri Lanka.

With a career that includes leadership roles in sales, distribution, and international trade, Don brings a strong commercial foundation, governance discipline, and a deep commitment to community service.

Dr. Upul Liyanage – Board Member

Dr. Upul Liyanage is a senior medical specialist with more than 26 years of experience in hospital medicine, clinical leadership, and geriatric care in New South Wales. He currently serves as Head of the Department of General Medicine at Hawkesbury District Hospital and as a Staff Specialist in Geriatric Medicine at Nepean Hospital, where he contributes to clinical governance, patient care excellence, and medical workforce development.

Dr. Liyanage holds the qualifications MBBS, MD, MRCP (UK), FRACP, and AFRACMA, reflecting his advanced training and commitment to specialist practice. His career includes over a decade as a specialist in Australia and sixteen years as a Medical Doctor at Nepean Hospital, giving him deep insight into acute and chronic care, multidisciplinary teamwork, and hospital operations.

With extensive experience across general medicine, geriatrics, and departmental leadership, Dr. Liyanage brings strong clinical expertise and a dedication to community wellbeing. His leadership supports Pearl Life Care’s mission to deliver culturally attuned, high‑quality services for Sri Lankan‑Australian seniors.

Shree Dharmalingam  — Board Member

Shree Dharmalingam  — Board Treasurer

Shree Dharmalingam is a finance and business professional with expertise in financial management, corporate governance, strategic planning, and organisational leadership. Holding an MBA in Finance and CPA qualification, Shree brings strong commercial acumen and a commitment to sound financial stewardship.

With extensive experience across finance, risk management, and business operations, Shree has developed a reputation for delivering strategic insight, operational excellence, and sustainable growth. His professional expertise supports effective governance, transparency, and long-term planning.

Duke Ramachandran – Board Member

Duke Ramachandran is an experienced technology and business transformation leader with a strong track record across digital strategy, enterprise systems, and organisational change. With extensive experience in senior leadership roles, he has guided complex technology programs, strengthened operational capability, and helped organisations modernise through innovation and data‑driven decision‑making.

Duke is known for his collaborative leadership style, strategic thinking, and commitment to building high‑performing teams. His work spans corporate, government, and community sectors, where he has contributed to strengthening governance, digital capability, and long‑term organisational resilience.

Haran Ramachandran OAM – Board Member

Haran Ramachandran OAM is a seasoned technology leader and community builder with more than two decades of experience in IT operations, cybersecurity, and enterprise service delivery. He has led complex technology environments across Australia, supporting multi‑site operations, cloud platforms, and critical infrastructure with a focus on resilience, innovation, and measurable outcomes.

Alongside his corporate career, Haran is a senior leader within Rotary International, currently serving as District Governor Nominee (2027–28) for District 9685 and District Rotary Foundation Chair. He has led transformative international projects across Sri Lanka, India, and beyond — strengthening healthcare systems, expanding access to clean water and sanitation, empowering women, and supporting education initiatives.

A recipient of the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) for his service to the community, Haran brings deep expertise in sustainable development, strategic partnerships, and technology‑driven organisational growth. His leadership strengthens Pearl Life Care’s mission to build a culturally grounded, future‑ready retirement village for the Sri Lankan‑Australian community.

Rohith Niranjan De Alwis, JP — Board Member

Rohith Niranjan De Alwis is an experienced administrator and Justice of the Peace (JP) with a strong background in the hospital and healthcare sector. He brings expertise in catering operations, budgeting, and end-to-end operations management, supported by advanced skills in Oracle/CBORD databases and hospitality systems.

With formal training in Hospitality Management from the American Hospitality Academy, Rohith combines technical capability with practical leadership experience. His industry knowledge and operational insight strengthen Pearl Life Care’s commitment to delivering high‑quality, culturally aligned services for the Sri Lankan‑Australian community.

Dr. Ruwan Walpola — Trustee

Dr. Ruwan Walpola is a highly respected medical professional, community leader, and advocate for multicultural engagement with extensive experience in healthcare, clinical leadership, and community service. Throughout his career, he has been committed to improving health outcomes, supporting patient wellbeing, and strengthening community-focused initiatives.

In addition to his medical leadership, Dr. Walpola has served as President of the Sri Lanka Association of NSW, where he played a significant role in promoting cultural engagement, community development, and social cohesion among Sri Lankan-Australians. He has also contributed to community service through his involvement with BMT Sri Lanka, supporting charitable and community-focused initiatives.

Dr. Walpola brings valuable insight into healthcare planning, governance, and the needs of ageing populations. Anton Rock Fernando – Trustee

Anton Rock Fernando is an experienced business and operations leader with a strong background in finance, corporate management, and strategic planning. Over his career, he has contributed to organisational growth, operational efficiency, and long‑term sustainability across multiple industries.
He has also served as Past President of the Australian Tamil Chamber of Commerce, NSW where he played a key role in strengthening business networks, supporting entrepreneurship, and advancing the interests of Tamil‑Australian professionals and enterprises.
Known for his disciplined approach, commercial insight, and commitment to community service, Anton brings valuable governance and financial oversight to Pearl Life Care Incorporated. Palitha Wijesena — Trustee

Palitha Wijesena is a Chartered Civil and Structural Engineer and Director of Palitha S Wijesena& Associates Pty Ltd, with extensive experience in engineering consultancy, infrastructure development, project management, and strategic planning. His professional qualifications include BSc (Engineering), Member of Engineers Australia (MIE Aust.), Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng), National Professional Engineers Register (NPER), and Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, United Kingdom (MICE UK).

With a distinguished career in civil and structural engineering, Palitha brings valuable technical expertise, governance experience, and long-term planning capability to Pearl Life Care Incorporated.
